Hello Everyone!
Firstly, I would love to thank those who sent their love and well wishes. Its always so good to know others are thinking and praying for me. I really appreciate it. I had my op yesterday and apart from some soreness and bloating from the gas, I feel quite well today. I should be able to go home on Monday and I will be sooooo happy to see my family. I miss them terribly.

Its been such a tough few weeks for me... in fact, I can't say I've ever felt so low in my life before. I didn't even know a person could feel so down. But I learned so much about myself, renewed my relationship with my God and realised once again what the most important things in my life really are. Its certainly been an experience... but not really one I want to go through again! Lol

I'm now looking forward to getting home to my darling hubby and wonderful family... plus... my studio which has been calling to me regularly. Cant wait to create!

Hello Everyone! Posting from Hospital!

It feels like so long since I last posted here. You wouldn't believe it but I ended up in hospital on Christmas Eve and have been there ever since. I'm doing okay now... The week before Christmas I spent a week at home in severe pain and nausea, I found that I had a gallstone stuck in my bile duct and then ended up with pancreatitis. The wonderful doctors have settled everything down and I'm due to have my gall bladder out tomorrow. I'm not normally a person who likes to lose body parts but my gallbladder is very nasty and has to be removed. All your prayers will be greatly appreciated and I know that God is with me every moment.

Its been such an emotional time for me as they had to fly me down to Brisbane, so I havn't seen my family in over a week. My wonderful Mum gave me her notebook and I'm now able to post and catch up with some things. It has made such a big difference. No matter how they try to make you feel at home, hospitals tend to de-humanise you and its so nice to get online and feel normal again.

I'm hoping to be back home very soon after the op and get back into my artwork. Please bear with me a little longer and I promise to have some lovely dolls to show you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Wishing all my dear Friends and Customers a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and the Happiest NEW YEAR ever!!!

I also want to give you all an update on whats been happening... I know I have been very slack with keeping things up to date here on my blog. In fact, that goes for everything in my life lately it seems! LOL I sincerely apologise for my lack of presence here. 2011 has been a really busy year for me and the last 3 months have been especially so. On top of the birth of our little granddaughter India Rose which led me to be away from home for a month, I have also had to paint the inside of our house. Our daughter and new family are living with us for a while and then theres the preparations for Christmas etc etc. Need I go on! LOL Needless to say, I have hardly seen my studio for the last 8 weeks and therefore, no new doll work has been forthcoming! In the end I finally decided to just go with the flow until Christmas is over and then its back to my studio come hail, rain or shine!!..and snow too.... which I have to say would be quite lovely here in hot Rockhampton! haha

Anyway, I have four gorgeous Model Muse girls and three Monster Highs waiting patiently in my studio to get their new personas. I'm also seriously considering ordering a couple of Tonners in to repaint for the New Year. I've missed painting the bigger girls and have had a hankering to do some lately. As well as the above, I also have a gorgeous little ballerina Kelly repaint and a Fantasy Barbie reroot/repaint to finish. So, lots for me to do and lots to show you all come New Year.

Have a safe Christmas and New Year dear friends.... spend lots of time with those precious loved ones and friends. Thats what Christmas is all about, isn't it!!

Change of date for GIVEAWAY

My apologies to everyone but due to unforeseen circumstances, I will have to postpone the draw date for the Giveaway one week... the new date will be the 11th November. My youngest daughter has just had her first baby. I'm currently over in Western Australia for the birth and will need to stay an extra 2 weeks, so I won't be able to get home to post the goodies off to the lucky winner. I'm so sorry to everyone for the delay. Great news though... Megan, my daughter now has a beautiful baby girl, 8lb 7ozs and her name is India Rose!! I'm over the moon! lol

OOAK Repaint & Hair Re-style

Mirabelle was created using a Barbie 'Victoria' doll from the Twilight series. She received a full facial repaint and re-style of her hair. I love this doll base because of the super pale skin tone... looks stunning with dramatic eyes and all that gorgeous red hair! She is now listed for sale on ebay on this link...

Glorious days of childhood!!

Whats been happening? Hmmm.. so many things.... life is too busy these days. I often find myself yearning for those long ago childhood days that were untouched by worries, completely unhurried... remember the ones? One day seemed to last forever, always full of simple pleasures like running in and out of the garden sprinkler, or waiting for the mobile Ice Cream man on a Saturday afternoon.... catching guppy's in the local creek!! Oh those glorious days of childhood!! I've often wondered why we lose that ability to enjoy simple things as we get older. I know that obviously we have to take on responsibilities as adults... that is something we can't change. However, I believe that the problem occurs when we forget how to 'live in the moment'. That's what children do best. They seldom think too far ahead... they just wrap themselves up in whats happening right now. They get fully involved with what they are doing and the result is pure bliss!! Remember that feeling! I know I do. We adults are always thinking ahead to the next thing on the list today... tomorrow... next week... next year even! How can we truly enjoy the moment when our focus is everywhere but here! There's a time and place to plan the things ahead... set time specifically for that purpose. But when you are spending an hour playing with your children, or grand children... taking a walk in the park... creating an artwork... gardening... or whatever it is that you love to do for you.... be IN the moment and enjoy every seconds worth. You'll be glad you did and you'll remember how to see things through the eyes of a child again!

Introducing ~Lyra~ OOAK Kelly repaint & full reroot!

Hi Everyone!!

Here is little 'Lyra', my latest Kelly repaint. I'm often not very impressed with the hair that Mattel gives these little girls and I love nothing better than to give them a new head of hair. Lyra has had a full reroot in gorgeous 'Sable' saran katsilk and I've left it nice and long with just a touch of feathering. She has also had a full facial repaint and now has sparkly green eyes with soft shadows and of course, two cute front teeth! Hope you like her.

Aster and Eleanor!!

Well, this is my very first post! The first of many, I hope! I decided that I would only post the last couple of dolls I created and provide a link (over on the right hand side) to all my previous work. There's just too many to post here and everyone can go look at my other dolls at their own leisure. If all the links aren't there yet, please bear with me as I get them up and running.

Anyway, these two girls are my latest.... Aster and Eleanor. Aster was originally a Moxie Girlz 'Lexa' and she received a full facial repaint. Eleanor was a Barbie Basics No1 model and she received a full facial repaint as well as a partial reroot to give her high and lowlights in her hair and also a side part. Hope you like them!
